Conference on "Referendum in Northern Iraq and Its Effect on Turkey"
Conference on "Referendum in Northern Iraq and Its Effect on Turkey" was held in Hall 4 of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Asst. Prof. Emre OZAN from the IR Department of Kirklareli University, Middle East Expert Ali SEMİN from BİLGESAM Research Centre and Research Assistant Dr. Gökhan ALBAYRAK from Gazi University were the speakers in the panel. Asst. Prof. Dr. Muharrem EKŞİ, as the moderator of the panel, explained the general situation in the region and gave the floor to the speakers.
Research Assistant Dr. Gökhan ALBAYRAK presented the general knowledge on 'self determination' while Middle East Expert Ali SEMİN gave important information from the actors of the region. Lastly, Asst. Prof. Emre OZAN evaluated the effects of the referendum on Turkish Foreign Policy. The conference ended with the questions&answers part in which many students and academics from other faculties and departments involved in.
